Most minor erosion of masonry can be repaired with a repair mortar named Lithomex. Lithomex is a stone coloured, lime based repair mortar. This is a cost effective repair if the erosion is not too severe. Lithomex is available in a multitude of different stone colours and gives a very convincing stone finish. Stone replacement is normally recommended where the stone in question is a structural piece or where the erosion is extreme and stone repair is not possible.
